Position held Process Engineer.

Company LINEAR ALKYL BENZENE COMPLEX, Arab Co. For Detergent Chemicals (ARADET), Baiji – IRAQ.
Company Profile Arab Co. For Detergent Chemicals (ARADET) is a petrochemical complex of three units, Normal Paraffin and Benzene units which feed the third complex unit to produce the final product (LAB), the complex capacity is 40000 MTA Of Normal Paraffin, 18000 MTA of Benzene, 4000 MTA of Toluene and 50000 MTA of LAB.
Position held Shift in charge.

A- Operating Experience:-

• Distributed Control Systems
Operating experience in DCS supplied by ABB, LOGOVEW System & DELTA V
(Emerson).

Pumps:
• Centrifugal Single & Multistage Pumps
• Sundyne pump with high head capacity.
• Positive displacement pumps like Screw, Gear, Diaphragm pumps

Compressors:
• Reciprocating type, single stage (2.5 bar, 50000NMC/HR), multi stage (50 bar, 500NMC/HR).
• Screw Compressor (MAN-TURBO) having Gas sealing system (2.2 Bar, 30000NMC/HR).
• Different types of air compressors and air drying systems.

Reactors:
• Radial flow, Gas phase low pressure reactors (1.5 Bar).
• Fixed bed liquid phase high pressure reactors (50 Bar).

Distillation columns:
• Atmospheric, pressure, vacuum distillation columns.

Heat exchangers:

Prefractionation Unit Fractionating the Kerosene feed by distillation.
UOP’s Hydrotreater High temperature (300-400 oC) & high pressure (50 bar) liquid mixed phase hydrogenation Reaction using Ni-MoX catalyst.

UOP’s PACOL High temperature (465-505 oC) & low pressure gas phase Dehydrogenation reaction using Pt on alumina catalyst.
UOP’s HF Alkylation Friedel -Crafts alkylation’s method using HF as a catalyst.
UOP’s PEP Aromatic removal by adsorption/desorption.
UOP’s DETAL Friedel -Crafts alkylation’s method using solid bed catalyst.

NATURE OF JOB

• Material balance, units and plant performance reporting to production manager.
• Responsible for the targeted production and quality product.
• Responsible for Raw material planning in coordination with Refinery.
• De bottlenecking study of plant.
• To coordinate with maintenance department for planned maintenance.
• To coordinate during emergency as Chief Emergency Coordinator.
• To coordinate with marketing department for production planning.
• Preparation of daily and monthly reports and accident reports if any.
• Responsible for training to the junior staff.

Computer Knowledge

• Operating systems : MS-Windows
• Packages : MS-Office.

Technical Qualification

Prior to the previously mentioned experience I’ve graduated from the Chemical Engineering Dep. at the University of Baghdad holding a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1996.
